A few things to remember about our estate sales:

  • Our sales are usually held on a Friday morning, opening at 8:00 a.m.  Often shoppers arrive quite a bit earlier than opening time and form an orderly line at the entrance.


  • When our workers arrive, probably around 7:00 a.m., numbered entrance tickets will be passed out to the people in line in order.  Admittance at opening time will be in the order of the tickets.


  • Depending on the size and arrangement of the house, a limited number of shoppers may be admitted to avoid congestion.  Additional shoppers will be admitted as soon as possible.


  • If there is a garage, it is usually opened at 7:30 a.m., also using the tickets for order of admittance.


  • A shopping bag is handy.


  • Large or especially fragile items will have a perforated tear-off tag on them.  If you wish to buy the item, tear off the bottom part of the tag, and put your name and telephone number on the back of the remaining portion of the tag.  This is very important.  Also, please do not remove a tag if you do not plan to purchase the item.  When you check out and pay for the item, the tag will be marked PAID.  Please return to the room where the item is located and show the tag to the worker in that room so that a SOLD tag can be put on the item.  Also tell the worker when the item will be picked up.


  • Adhesive return address labels can be put on the back of the tear-off tags.  Please have your telephone number on the labels.


  • Since our sales are usually one-day events, if you purchase an item that cannot be easily carried, arrangements need to be made to pick up the item the day of the sale.  Check with a worker about the time we will be closing the house.


  • Please bring your own loading help.
